We continue our journey through poetic Heidelberg — Literaturstadt Heidelberg.
Today, we present the poem by Gerhild Michel, performed by the author herself.
Gerhild Michel was born in Berlin and raised in Heidelberg. “Language has always been my means of expression: first as an actress on various German stages, and later as a teacher and poet. I am fascinated by the world and I write. I search for words to get closer to the mystery of life,” she says.
Since 2000, she has published several poetry collections, for example with ATHENA Publishing:
